Milhares de pessoas no Nordeste do Brasil sofrem com a seca que assola boa parte dessa região, ceifando muitas vidas e tornando outras mais duras do que já são e mais sofridas do que possamos imaginar.

Thousands of people in northeastern Brazil suffer from drought which affects much of this region, claiming many lives and making life more difficult and resulting in suffering more than we can imagine .

Imagine o desespero de não se ter um copo de água pra matar sua sede quando se vive em ambientes onde a média de temperatura é de 42º à sombra?

Imagine the despair of not having a glass of water to quench your thirst in living environments where the average temperature is 42 ° in the shade ?

Pois é, essa era a realidade de milhares de pessoas na Paraíba, mas, com a ação do CEPFS e de muitas outras organizações parceiras, muita coisa já mudou e, com essa campanha, poderemos mudar ainda mais, só depende de você, contribua!

Why this campaign is so important

O foco da nossa organização é a eficiência no gerenciamento de recursos naturais, em pequenas propriedades, com atividades focadas na agricultura familiar. Nosso trabalho consiste em aliar formação e mobilização social (organização e articulação comunitária) com o desenvolvimento e difusão de soluções inovadoras e de baixo custo em áreas como manejo hídrico e agroecologia, tornando a vida do sertanejo menos dura e dando autonomina à essas pessoas.

The focus of our organization is the efficient management of natural resources and other asscoaited activities focused on the family farm . Our job is to combine training and social mobilization (community organization and formation) with the development and dissemination of innovative and cost effective solutions in areas such as water management and agro-ecology, making life less harsh and allowing the people to be less dependent on others

How we use the collected amount

As contribuições recebidas por essa campanha possibilitarão a construção de um dormitório, com espaço masculino e feminino, com área de 306 metros quadrados (primeiro andar) na área experimental  do CEPFS localizada na zona rural do município de Matureia, espaço este que vem cumprindo importante papel, no âmbito socioambiental, inspirando pessoas e organizações para o desenvolvimento de tecnologias, com inovação social, para fortalecear a resistência e promover a adaptação para a convivência com o clima semiárido.

Contributions received by this campaign will enable the construction of a dormitory, with male and female space, with an area of ​​306 square meters (first floor), the experimental area of ​​CEPFS located in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Maturéia - PB, which space is playing an important role in the socio-environmental context, inspiring people and organizations to the development of technologies with social innovation, to strengthen the resistance and to adapt to living with the semiarid climate.

O Centro de Educação Popular e Formação Social – CEPFS desenvolve ações há 29 anos no sertão da Paraíba, com o objetivo de promover o empoderamento social, a partir do fortalecimento político organizativo das famílias e comunidades resgatando práticas de solidariedade, já vivenciadas pelas famílias, que possam, a partir de inovações sociais, contribuir, efetivamente, para uma melhor e mais sustentável qualidade de vida, a partir das potencialidades locais e da gestão participativa de recursos: humanos, financeiros, materiais, incluindo os recursos naturais.

The Center for Popular Education and Social Formation - CEPFS has been developing projects and actions for 29 years in rural areas of Paraíba, with the goal of promoting social empowerment, from political organization,  and through strengthening families and communities through promotion of practical solidarity.  Thousands of  families benefit from social innovations that effectively contribute to a better and more sustainable quality of life, developed making the most of local potential and through participatory management of resources : human, financial, material, including natural resources.
